Culinary Assistant Wanted

We are seeking a skilled and passionate Catering Assistant to join our team and help redefine the aged care dining experience.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone with experience in preparing food for diverse dietary needs, including allergen-sensitive, customised, or texture-specific meals.

The ideal candidate will have strong interpersonal skills to work effectively within a collaborative team environment and be willing to learn and adapt to new situations.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing and dishing up meals in accordance with high-quality standards and residents' dietary requirements.
  • Support the implementation of initiatives to enhance the resident experience.
  • Maintain food quality, safety, and presentation standards in collaboration with the team.
  • Engage with residents during meal service to ensure their dining satisfaction and comfort.
Requirements:
  • A minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role.
  • Experience in preparing food for diverse dietary needs.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to adapt to new situations.
Benefits:

This is a casual role with opportunities for leave coverage and special events. The successful applicant will be responsible for maintaining a high standard of catering and presentation whilst handling, preparing and storing food, in addition to associated cleaning tasks.
