Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Quality Assurance Manager to implement and manage project quality control plans.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring construction meets or exceeds all contract requirements.

  • Serve as a Quality Assurance expert reporting to the Project Manager/Superintendent, with functional responsibilities to the Director of Quality Control.
  • Manage client relationships while protecting company interests.
  • Become familiar with all plans and specifications that govern the project.
  • Develop and implement the Project Quality Plan to ensure contract compliance.
  • Effectively communicate QC Plan expectations and requirements with stakeholders.
  • Perform quality inspections per contract requirements.
  • Proactively inspect in-process work to ensure contract conformance.
  • Establish inspection protocols for off-site work.
  • Manage 3rd party testing and inspection companies supporting the project.
  • Review submittals to ensure compliance with contract specifications.
  • Perform internal/external audits to ensure compliance with the QC Plan.
  • Maintain RFI and Non-Conformance Registers.
  • Submit meaningful quality information in daily/weekly/monthly QC Reports.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Military airfield Paving Experience preferred.
  • Minimum 5+ yrs experience managing a US Federal Government QC Program with multiple specialists under their leadership.
  • Minimum 5+ yrs as QC professional on construction projects valued $10M+; required.
  • 2-yr or 4-yr Degree in construction, or engineering, or related fields; strongly desired.
  • USACE CQCM certification strongly desired, or must attain within 30 days of hiring.
  • 30-hour OSHA certification strongly desired, or must attain within 30 days of hiring.
  • Proficiency with a computer and MS Office products (Outlook, Word, Excel); required.
  • Ability to speak, read and write fluent English; required.
  • Ability to successfully pass background/security check; required.
