Chief Aviation Engineer

Brooks Airways is a leading aviation company that provides medical air ambulance, air charters, and cargo services. We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated Chief Engineer to join our dynamic team.
Key Responsibilities:- Oversee the maintenance, inspection, and airworthiness of the Brooks Airways fleet.
- Supervise a team of skilled B1 & B2 engineers, providing guidance, mentorship, and strong leadership.
- Conduct fleet reliability assessments and coordinate all MRO operations for the Brooks Airways fleet.
- Ensure a high level of compliance with all CASA regulations.
- Oversee and project manage fleet upgrades to minimize downtime and optimize aircraft availability.
- Collaborate with the operations and flight departments to ensure seamless coordination for aircraft readiness.
- Conduct troubleshooting and rectification of complex technical issues.
- Ensure compliance with safety protocols, quality standards, and best practices.
- Participate in budgeting and resource allocation for engineering projects.
- Promote and foster strong working relationships within the Brooks businesses.
- Hold a CASA part 66 licence.
- Minimum of 10 years of experience in aviation maintenance engineering, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
- Have a strong understanding of CASA regulations and compliance requirements.
- Proven experience in managing a team of engineers and technicians.
- Excellent troubleshooting and diagnostic skills.
- Prior experience in a CAR 30 or CASR Pt145 MRO environment.
- Ability to obtain and hold an ASIC.
- Must be a Permanent Resident with working rights in Australia or an Australian Citizen.
- Extensive knowledge and hands-on experience with Learjet 35 aircraft would be highly desirable.
