The Airbus Maintenance Team in Darwin is seeking a skilled Aircraft Maintenance Engineer - Avionics to join our team. As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will work closely with our team of technical experts to undertake aviation maintenance activities to meet the needs of Airbus Australia Pacific and their customers.

This role requires interaction with various stakeholders to identify scheduled and unscheduled maintenance requirements and plays a crucial role in maintaining customer satisfaction. The position reports to the Team Lead Aircraft Line Maintenance, through respective Aircraft Technical Leads, responsible for all ARH maintenance activities undertaken by the Darwin Maintenance teams.

About the Role

As an Aircraft Maintenance Engineer, you will be responsible for:

  • Conducting maintenance in accordance with relevant regulations
  • Undertaking aircraft maintenance activities within your Quality Authorisations as directed by your supervisor, to ensure delivery of aircraft to meet the specified delivery schedule
  • Ensuring that all aircraft and aeronautical product maintenance activities are conducted effectively, efficiently, and performed, supervised, inspected, and certified in compliance with either the Airbus Maintenance Organisation Exposition (MOE) or 1 AVN MOE as applicable
  • Identifying new opportunities for enhancement of maintenance services

  • Diploma Aeroskills (Avionics) or equivalent issued by a Registered Training Organisation
  • High-Level aviation airworthiness regulatory knowledge and its applicability in the relevant environment
  • Understanding of relevant aircraft maintenance documentation and practices
  • Knowledge of and experience using Interactive Electronic Technical Publications
  • Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality, and customer satisfaction
  • Knowledge of and experience using CAMM2 an advantage

You must be eligible for an Australian Government Negative Vetting 1 Security Clearance and have the capacity to satisfy pre-employment medical screening which may include drug and alcohol testing.
