Credit Department Manager

As a critical member of our team, you will be responsible for overseeing the Credit department and ensuring that all aspects run smoothly.
About the RoleThis position is ideal for an experienced professional looking to take on a challenging leadership role within a reputable company. The successful candidate will have strong leadership skills, excellent communication abilities, and a proven track record in credit management.
Key Responsibilities- Mentor and manage a team of 3 individuals to ensure optimal performance and productivity.
- Review and evaluate applications for account openings, credit limit adjustments, and other modifications to credit terms, ensuring compliance with the company's credit policy.
- Collaborate with the Sales Department to maximise sales by ensuring customer accounts remain creditworthy and credit limits align with their sales needs.
- Monitor the performance of all customer accounts to ensure optimal collections and adherence to agreed terms.
- Regularly review credit limits for established accounts to ensure they remain creditworthy and sufficient to support ongoing trade.
- Possess the ability to propose policy changes to the Financial Controller and ensure updates are documented, communicated effectively, and adhered to by employees.
To be considered for this role, you should possess:
- A degree in Accounting or Finance, or equivalent relevant certificate.
- Experience in credit control or accounts receivables.
- Proven examples of process improvements or achievements on your resume.
- An excellent attitude to challenge the status quo and exceptional written and verbal communication skills.
The salary for this position is $100,000 - $110,000 per annum, plus superannuation benefits, depending on experience.
