About the Role

We are seeking an experienced DCA Administration Officer (12 month fixed-term) to contribute to our success by supporting the active administration of debt collection agencies engaged by Transurban.

You will join a dynamic team that thrives on delivering exceptional customer service and finding innovative solutions to complex problems. As our DCA Administration Officer, you will play a key role in shaping lasting and positive changes that impact the future of our cities and communities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Action and resolve DCA enquiries within target time frames (24 - 48 hour turnaround time)
  • Liaise with stakeholders regarding credit management and customer accounting matters
  • Identify customers experiencing financial hardship and assist them with payment solution options
  • Monitor systems and processes to ensure timely handling of DCA files and escalate issues promptly
  • Effectively identify and minimise potential bad debts and negotiate favourable outcomes within a timely manner
  • Liaise with the DCA to negotiate debt outcomes and monitor payment plans and hardship referrals in line with Transurban policies

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Experience in credit, accounts receivable, or DCA management functions (especially with high workload volumes) is advantageous but not essential
  • Great communication and interpersonal skills – for effective interaction with team members, customers, and stakeholders at all levels
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Outlook and advanced Excel functions)
  • Proactive problem-solver with a passion for exploring new ideas to develop innovative solutions
  • A curious and adaptable learner, eager to embrace new processes and systems
