Position Overview

We have an exciting temporary full-time position available within our Educational Delivery team focused on Transport and Logistics.

As a TAFE Teacher in Transport and Logistics, you will have the opportunity to shape the careers of future professionals by imparting your extensive industry knowledge in a classroom or educational setting.

This role reports to the Educational Team Leader.

The salary range for a TAFE Teacher is $88,547 - $118,528 (gross) per annum, depending on educational qualifications and teaching experience.

  • Four weeks of recreation leave (accrued annually)
  • Five weeks of Non-Attendance Time allocated annually for preparation
  • Paid overtime arrangements may be available, subject to operational requirements, with generous compensation

Mandatory Qualifications

Applicants must possess TLI31222 Certificate III in Driving Operations or an equivalent qualification, along with:

  • Current industry skills directly relevant to the training and assessment being provided;
  • Current knowledge and skills in vocational training and learning that inform the training and assessment provided;
  • Evidence of professional development in vocational training, learning, and assessment, including competency-based training and assessment.

Additionally, to qualify as a TAFE Teacher, you must hold one of the following training and assessment credentials:

  • TAE40116 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment; or
  • TAE40110 Certificate IV in Training and Assessment plus TAELLN411 Address Adult Language, Literacy and Numeracy Skills and TAEASS502 Design and Develop Assessment Tools; or
  • TAE50111 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training; or
  • TAE50116 Diploma of Vocational Education and Training or its successor; or
  • TAE50211 Diploma of Training Design and Development; or
  • TAE50216 Diploma of Training Design and Development or its successor; or
  • A higher-level qualification in adult education (approved by TAFE Queensland).

Note: Proof of qualifications and industry currency/experience will be required at the interview.

Highly Desirable Attributes

Candidates with the following will be highly regarded:

  • High level of digital literacy skills across various platforms (online Learning Management Systems).
  • Experience within refuelling, fuel tankers, heavy diesel, and hydrogen fuel systems.
