Electrical Design Expert Wanted

We are seeking an experienced electrical design professional to prepare high-level designs for underground and overhead networks.

Job Description:

  • Design and develop Level 3 electrical designs for underground and overhead networks, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with clients, councils, and network authorities to ensure timely approvals and certifications.
  • Conduct site inspections and surveys to gather data for accurate design development.
  • Produce comprehensive design documentation, including CAD drawings, schematics, and technical reports.
  • Verify designs meet AS/NZS 3000 and relevant standards, ensuring safe and efficient network operations.
  • Manage project timelines and deliverables to meet client and regulatory deadlines.
  • Maintain accurate records and documentation for audit and compliance purposes.
  • Provide expert technical support and advice to internal teams and external stakeholders.

Required Skills and Qualifications:

  • ASP Level 3 Accreditation with a recognized electricity distributor.
  • Degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • Minimum 3 years of experience in electrical design within the ASP framework, with a proven track record of delivering high-quality designs.
  • Proficiency in AutoCAD and other design software, with excellent problem-solving skills.
  • Strong understanding of local distribution network standards, regulations, and industry best practices.
  • Excellent communication, leadership, and time management skills.
