About the Role

This position oversees either our Electrical or MRO commodity groups and is accountable for sourcing all commodity parts, systems, and/or services across the organisation.

  • Lead a team of procurement specialists in developing, approving, and implementing commodity management plans that align with business objectives and deliver value;
  • Engage with global Rheinmetall commodity groups to ensure Australian Industry Capability (AIC) and Global Supply Chain (GSC) goals are achieved;
  • Coordinate local and international multidisciplinary teams to maintain fair market engagement, delivery performance, and Rheinmetall-Supplier relationships;
  • Conduct market research and analysis across key procurement categories, including commercial evaluation, negotiation, risk-analysis, and due diligence of potential vendors and new supply partners;
  • Identify, develop, and manage key supplier relationships to meet strategic procurement objectives;
  • Lead procurement team engagements in developing, implementing, and communicating procurement systems policies and processes across RDA;

Key Qualifications:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Commerce, Finance, Logistics, or Supply Chain or related discipline;
  • Proven experience in managing end-to-end procurement in a large and complex business environment, delivering significant efficiencies and cost savings;
  • High proficiency in contract administration, risk management, and/or commercial management;
  • Effective leadership and influencing skills with strong commercial orientation;
  • Comfortable working in a matrix environment;
  • Ability to travel interstate when required;
  • Australian Government Security Clearance is essential.
