Senior Software Engineering Leadership Opportunity

This is a unique chance to assume a leadership role and oversee the management of a software engineering team, focusing on OEM enablement projects.

The ideal candidate will possess excellent time management skills, have deep knowledge of Linux systems, low-level debugging expertise, critical thinking abilities, problem-solving skills, and strong managerial capabilities.

Main Responsibilities:

  • Guide your team to achieve success in delivering high-quality products by recruiting, motivating, mentoring, and empowering them
  • Collaborate with the team to set goals, prioritize tasks, identify, and measure key performance indicators
  • Maximize individual results and support career growth for team members
  • Coordinate with project managers, hardware enablement, QA, and certification teams
  • Oversee projects from inception to post-project evaluation and handle escalations effectively
  • Communicate, understand, and resolve technical challenges with original equipment manufacturers, original design manufacturers, silicon partners, independent hardware vendors, and internal stakeholders
  • Prioritize customer requests globally
  • Work closely with product engineering teams (including desktop, foundations, kernel, and security)
  • Provide strategic leadership on methodologies, standards, tools, and best practices

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor's degree in STEM fields, preferably computer science or software engineering, and demonstrate a proven track record in technical roles with Linux, preferably Ubuntu or Debian. They should be committed to development and testing methodologies, maintainable code quality, and able to work collaboratively in a team environment.

A strong English language communication skillset is essential. Desirable skills include making technical decisions as a tech lead, software architecture and design experience, and participation in open-source development projects.

Key Qualifications:

  • Proven track record in technical roles with Linux, preferably Ubuntu or Debian
  • Strong English language communication skills
