Food and Beverage Supervisor Role

The role of a Food and Beverage Supervisor is critical in ensuring the smooth operation of restaurants, bars, and other food service outlets. In this position, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring a team of food and beverage professionals to deliver exceptional customer experiences.

  • Oversee daily operations of food and beverage outlets, ensuring seamless execution of menu offerings and promotions.
  • Maintain a focus on delivering outstanding guest experiences through effective communication and problem-solving skills.
  • Lead, mentor, and motivate the food and beverage team members to achieve sales targets and improve operational efficiency.
  • Recruit, train, and develop new team members to ensure they possess the necessary skills and knowledge to excel in their roles.
  • Ensure that cleaning and maintenance of outlets and work areas are carried out to the highest standards, maintaining a clean and safe environment for guests and staff alike.
  • Handle escalated guest complaints in a professional and courteous manner, resolving issues promptly and fairly.

To succeed in this role, you must possess:

  • A strong 'can do' attitude, with a proactive approach to solving problems and embracing challenges.
  • Previous experience in a similar role or as a team leader, demonstrating your ability to lead and motivate others.
  • Flexibility to work varied shifts, including late finishes, weekends, and public holidays, with a willingness to adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Knowledge of food and beverage service and products, with a keen eye for detail and a passion for delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Responsible Service of Alcohol certification (mandatory), ensuring that you understand the importance of serving alcohol responsibly and safely.
