About the Role

We are seeking an experienced Electrical Technical Specialist to join our Hot Strip Mill team in Port Kembla. As a key member of our multi-skilled team, you will play a crucial role in delivering sustained improvement in process uptime and unit cost reduction.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Provide day-to-day electrical technical support and advanced problem-solving services.
  • Analyse plant and equipment performance data to identify patterns and ensure recurring problems are resolved using Root Cause Analysis approaches.
  • Support the management of plant maintenance activities, including planning, organisation, and execution.
  • Coches & mentors maintenance team members by identifying and closing technical knowledge gaps.
  • Identifies and implements equipment reliability and cost improvement projects.
  • BuilEffective relationships to drive continuous improvement in the reliability of our HSM assets.
About You

You will hold a diploma or degree qualification in Electrical Engineering combined with suitable experience in relevant maintenance within manufacturing or heavy industry. This includes:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Electrical Engineering.
  • A commitment to safety and wellbeing.
  • Experience working in a similar industry within Electrical Maintenance, with a strong focus on defect elimination and equipment reliability.
  • Experience with fault-finding PLCs and motor control systems.
  • The ability to work independently and as part of a manufacturing team.
