Motor Mechanic Position Overview

We seek an experienced professional to fill the role of a Motor Mechanic. The successful candidate will have prior experience in performing diagnostics, service repairs and maintenance on various products including petrol to diesel vehicles and outdoor power equipment.

The ideal candidate will possess a Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent qualification and bring skills and experience in servicing, detecting and diagnosing engine faults and repairs, as well as dismantling engines and undertaking repairs. Knowledge of Auto Electrical systems is beneficial.

Responsibilities will include assisting in other areas of the workshop on equipment disassembly, reassembly, and testing as required.

  • Mechanical Trade Certificate or equivalent
  • Diagnostic and repair services for complex engine faults
  • Effective interpretation of necessary parts
  • Safe and efficient engine dismantling and repair procedures
  • Equipment testing to ensure customer satisfaction
  • Beneficial knowledge of Auto Electrical systems
  • A valid driver's license
  • Ownership of necessary tooling
  • Ability to work autonomously, alone or in a team environment
