About the Role

We at JAX Tyres & Auto Capalaba are seeking a skilled and motivated Motor Mechanic to join the team.

As a full-time Motor Mechanic, you will play a vital role in servicing and repairing a wide range of vehicles, ensuring our customers drive away with confidence and peace of mind.

What you'll be doing

  1. Conducting vehicle diagnostics, servicing, and mechanical repairs
  2. Performing maintenance on engines, brakes, suspension, steering, cooling systems, and more
  3. Road testing vehicles to ensure the quality of repairs
  4. Accurately completing service documentation and job cards
  5. Communicating with customers to explain issues and proposed solutions
  6. Working collaboratively with the workshop team to meet deadlines and maintain high service standards
  7. Following all safety protocols and company procedures

What we're looking for

  1. Minimum 3 years' experience as a qualified Motor Mechanic
  2. Automotive trade qualification and certificates
  3. Experience managing and training apprentice (Advantageous)
  4. Current valid Driver's Licence
  5. Strong diagnostic and problem-solving skills
  6. Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  7. High attention to detail and commitment to quality workmanship
  8. Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  9. A strong focus on safety and compliance with WHS regulations
  10. Available to work on Saturdays
