Job Overview

This role involves procuring essential goods and services to drive business success. As an Acquisition Specialist, you will play a pivotal part in the parts supply chain team at our National Parts Distribution Centre.

Your key responsibilities include:

  • Regularly reviewing and analyzing re-order forecasts to optimize inventory levels
  • Preparing and submitting inventory purchase orders aligned with supplier agreements and company policies
  • Maintaining accurate records of all purchase orders from creation to delivery
  • Ensuring timely item delivery and resolving discrepancies with suppliers
  • Identifying opportunities for cost savings within existing supplier agreements
  • Supporting Regional Sales Teams with inventory management for promotional activities
  • Assisting the Parts Reporting Analyst with SRM data entry
  • Fostering strong relationships with existing suppliers to drive mutual benefit

Requirements:

  • A minimum of 3 years' experience in purchasing, preferably in a multi-franchise operation
  • A Diploma in Business / Supply Chain or equivalent recognized career history experience
  • Strong analytical skills
  • Commercial acumen and customer focus
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Prior experience with heavy vehicle industry knowledge and familiarity with MDS / IDS / Pentana wholesale operating systems is highly regarded
