About the Role

As a senior member of the leadership team, key responsibilities include:

  • Supporting the Principal to lead the school community and develop a shared educational vision focused on quality learning outcomes for all students.
  • Acting as a deputy to the Principal when required.
  • Upholding the deputy principalship as a values-based, ethical, and moral activity.
  • Embedding socially just practices in daily school life.
  • Setting high standards for student and staff performance.
  • Participating in lifelong learning and ongoing professional development.
  • Forming partnerships with parents, government agencies, community groups, industry, and business.
  • Being futures-oriented and strategic.
  • Understanding legislation and policies impacting schooling.
  • Managing resources to achieve goals.

The role focuses on upper primary, working alongside a large leadership team. High levels of personal and interpersonal skills are required, along with comprehensive knowledge of the Australian Curriculum.
