Job Description:

As a strategic leader, you will oversee a portfolio of high-value clients while mentoring a team of professionals across various levels of experience. This role offers an ideal opportunity for senior insurance professionals ready to progress into leadership positions or build further on their current people management experience.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Manage a key portfolio of mid-market commercial clients
  • Build enduring relationships with clients in the $50–100M turnover range
  • Provide strategic broking advice and deliver exceptional service outcomes
  • Coach, mentor, and engage a team including junior and senior broking staff
  • Identify opportunities for portfolio growth, client retention, and team development
  • Work closely with national leadership to align with business goals
  • Participate in business development and contribute to branch strategy
Required Skills and Qualifications:

To be successful in this role, you should have:

  • Broad experience in commercial insurance broking, across mid-market clients
  • Strong understanding of diverse industry sectors and insurance solutions
  • Demonstrated capability in mentoring or team leadership (formal or informal)
  • Tier 1 qualified (essential), with excellent stakeholder and client skills
  • Commercially minded with a focus on growth and retention outcomes
  • Highly organised and proactive, able to thrive in a fast-paced environment
