We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Direct Care Worker to join our team at our Residential Care Home. As a Direct Care Worker, you will play a vital role in providing exceptional care and support to our residents, ensuring their comfort, well-being, and dignity.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Assist with personal hygiene, grooming, and toileting
  • Support mobility and dexterity
  • Aid with transfers and lifting using aids
  • Communicate and assist with glasses and hearing aids
  • Distribute clean laundry and attire
  • Clean equipment, utensils, and personal items
  • Provide transportation for clients
  • Assist clients with special needs
  • Support self-administration of medication
  • Assist with routine treatments and procedures
Requirements:
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively within teams
  • Strong communication abilities, adept at relating to individuals from diverse backgrounds
  • Proven track record of meeting deadlines
  • Willingness to assist and cooperate with colleagues
  • Ability to maintain strict confidentiality
  • Competence in performing general tasks under supervision
  • Limited experience with elderly, frail, or disabled individuals in community/hospital settings
