**Job Overview**

The role of a Desktop Home Assessor involves overseeing the end-to-end management of assigned claims, encompassing damage cause determination, repair scope and cost assessment for insured properties. This position demands excellent customer service skills.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough desktop assessments of insured properties utilizing virtual assessing and/or causation reports provided by panel suppliers;
  • Produce detailed reports to determine cause, coverage, damage and optimal repair methods;
  • Review scope of works and expert reports to ensure cost-effective and timely repair methodologies;
  • Negotiate and define scope of work and associated costing with key stakeholders;
  • Manage claims from start to finish, incorporating various cost, quality and service controls in conjunction with the Claims Operations Team;
  • Submit reports and review SOWs and documentation within set timeframes (as per established SLAs).

Essential Qualifications:**

  • Prior experience working within the insurance, building or construction industry is highly desirable;
  • Outstanding customer service and supplier relationship management abilities;
  • Capacity to thrive in fast-paced high-pressure environments;
  • Ability to prepare scope of works, quotes and estimations is extremely advantageous;
  • Confident use of technology.
