Job Description

We are seeking a skilled Alumni Relations and Fundraising Specialist to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for leveraging advancement information systems to identify individuals and cohorts for deeper engagement with the university.

This includes conducting research, providing reports, and recommendations that support the university's strategic engagement with alumni, donors, community members, and key stakeholders.

The role ensures information on constituents is accurate and up-to-date, provides sophisticated background research on notable individuals, organisations and groups, and identifies prospects for strategic activities, programs and awards.

  • Utilise Advancement databases and systems, including Blackbaud RE7 and NXT, to manage data, conduct prospect research and produce reports.

The successful candidate will work as part of a team to deliver high-quality services to support the university's advancement objectives.

We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced professional who can provide expert-level prospect research, data analysis, and reporting services to support the university's fundraising and development efforts.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct thorough research on prospective donors, alumni, and community leaders to identify potential giving opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including alumni, donors, and community leaders.
  • Analyse data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to increase donor engagement and giving.
  • Provide regular reports and updates to senior management and other stakeholders on progress and results.
Requirements:
  • Degree in relevant field such as business, communications, or marketing.
  • Proven experience in prospect research, data analysis, and reporting.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
