Requirements:
  • Strong experience in AV technology, broadcast engineering, and IT support functions.
  • Proficiency in troubleshooting, fault resolution, and networking infrastructure, particularly baseband, DANTE, Livewire and SMPTE 2110 protocols.
  • Familiarity with broadcast transmission systems, including SDI, AES67, LiveU and satellite systems.
  • Excellent communication skills, with the ability to convey complex technical information clearly. Willingness to work shifts, including a 24/7 roster.
  • NSW driver's license and ability to travel intra- and interstate.
  • Certifications such as Media Industry Technologist Certification (MITC) are advantageous.
About the Role:

The Australian Broadcasting Corporation (ABC) is seeking a skilled Broadcast Technologist to join our Parramatta team. As a key member of our Product & Technology division, you will be responsible for delivering high-quality technical support and contributing to the planning and execution of broadcast technology projects.

As a Broadcast Technologist, you will work closely with internal teams to analyze broadcast and content needs, offering solutions for optimal performance. You will also support the installation, commissioning, and testing of broadcast equipment, including networking infrastructure and audio/video routing.
