Senior Production Manager - Medicinal Cannabis

We are seeking a seasoned Senior Production Manager to oversee the operational management of our state-of-the-art GMP-certified medicinal cannabis facility in Western Australia.

  • This is a unique opportunity to play a key role in scaling operations within an established and innovative organisation at the forefront of the Australian medicinal cannabis industry.

About This Role
Brunel partners with a leading medicinal cannabis company to source an experienced Production Manager for their GMP-certified facility in Collie, WA. As the Senior Production Manager, you will be responsible for leading a high-performing team and overseeing both indoor and outdoor cultivation, ensuring compliance with GMP regulations while driving efficiency and quality in extraction and manufacturing.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the operational management of a GMP-certified medicinal cannabis production facility.
  • Manage a 1-acre indoor and 10-acre outdoor grow operation, producing 10 tonnes from indoor and 30 tonnes from outdoor cultivation.
  • Lead and develop a team of 20, including extraction specialists and quality managers.
  • Ensure continuous production with structured shift patterns, including daily harvesting and processing.
  • Develop and enforce SOPs, compliance documentation, and validation processes.
  • Work closely with Quality and Validation teams to maintain regulatory standards.
  • Report directly to the CFO.
Requirements:
  • 5+ years' experience in a similar role within the cannabis or pharmaceutical industry.
  • Proven experience in start-ups and scaling operations, with a strong background in GMP compliance, extraction, and manufacturing.
  • Strong leadership and operational management skills, with the ability to drive a high-performance culture.
