Job Title: Chief Operations Director

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced senior leader to spearhead our organization's operations. As the leader of our regional Not for Profit Residential Aged Care Organisation, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction and overseeing the day-to-day activities.

About the Role
  • Provide leadership and oversight to ensure exceptional service delivery across all departments
  • Be accountable for operational efficiency, compliance, and continued development of services to meet organizational objectives
Duties and Responsibilities
  • Work closely with key stakeholders to drive business performance and improve aged care outcomes
  • Bring leadership and innovative thinking to continually enhance service delivery and quality standards
  • Have a thorough understanding of the Aged Care Standards and regulatory requirements
  • Develop and implement strategies to ensure resident-focused, personal-centered care services
  • Protect and maintain assets, including upgrades to infrastructure and planning
  • Attend Board and Committee meetings to ensure effective governance
  • Manage risk and deliver on the organization's vision and strategies
  • Ensure delivery of high-standard care and help develop services that are safe, culturally appropriate, nurturing, and promote dignified aged care
  • Determine best practice human resource management requirements and best practices
  • Work to ensure ongoing professional development of staff and promotion of a positive working environment
  • Business Performance and Financial Management - budgets, strategic planning
  • IT competency and understanding of technology solutions for enhancing work efficiency and communications
  • Risk management and maintaining quality standards
  • Workforce management - Demonstrated understanding of building a skilled and committed workforce with a caring culture
  • Organisational leadership - Skills in understanding of role and responsibility at director level
  • Communication with range of stakeholders –residents, their families, and funding bodies
  • Effective systems management for monitoring risk and continuous improvement
  • Governance - Knowledge of governance practices, management reporting, and compliance reporting
  • Knowledge of policy, procedural protocols, and quality control
  • Strategic thinking, and planning, and critical thinking. A strong vision for moving forward
