Job Title: Early Childhood Data Specialist

The position of Early Childhood Data Specialist plays a crucial role in the development and implementation of high-quality research, data collection, and evaluation to inform projects and grants for early childhood staff, constituent districts, and partner Community-Based Organizations.

This specialist develops, coordinates, and maintains necessary databases, ensuring the accurate and timely submission of related reports to support early childhood grants. The focus is on state-funding preschool grants, particularly PreK for All.

Key responsibilities include:
• Assisting in developing and conducting survey research and evaluation projects
• Writing extensive reports on data findings and preparing presentations of survey and evaluation project results
• Developing data collection instruments such as questionnaires and interviewing routes
• Enhancing data analysis by cross-examining multiple types of data to improve processes and outcomes in Early Childhood
• Coordinating data collection and quality control procedures
• Creating and maintaining databases using various computer systems and programs for surveys, reporting, evaluation projects, assessments, and grants

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Education, Educational Research, Public Policy, Public Administration, Statistics, Data Science, Social Sciences, or a related field
  • 2-3 years of experience in database application support, data management, and analysis tools (e.g., Internet survey software, statistical packages, spreadsheets, reporting programs)
  • Demonstrated knowledge and experience with database applications, report writing, queries, and importing/exporting data
