We are seeking applications for 1 x Permanent full-time Senior System and Data Analyst (AO6). This position is in the Brisbane City Office.

About The Early Childhood Regulatory Authority
Our purpose is to deliver fair, proactive and risk-based regulation to support the early childhood sector to deliver safe and high-quality services. ECRA, as part of the Department of Education, is the regulatory authority for early childhood education and care. ECRA administers both the  National Quality Framework  (NQF) and the  Education and Care Services Act 2013 under which early childhood education and care services in Queensland operate.

Your Role
As a Senior System and Data Analyst, your role will involve:

  • Identifying, developing and implementing strategies to ensure the effective administration of regulatory systems and ensuring compliance with information management requirements.
  • Managing projects and activities to ensure the effective development, collection, storage, extraction, analysis, reporting and maintenance of complex data sets.
  • Researching and monitoring activities and users' needs across the Regulatory Authority and stakeholders to assess business requirements and develop effective business processes through improvements in information systems, management, practices and procedures, while managing stakeholder expectations.
  • Supporting the use of contemporary information management and business intelligence software and solutions to present and distribute the department's data and statistics in an accessible, useable format for distribution to internal and external clients, and to meet reporting requirements.
  • Resolving complex regulatory systems issues and incidents, and escalating matters as needed.

The ideal candidate

  • Provide insightful, timely and influential strategic, operational and tactical intelligence products that contribute to best practice early childhood regulation as defined in the Regulating for Quality policy.
  • Establish the capability to support intelligence-led compliance planning and delivery that reduces risk to children in the early childhood sector, at both the strategic and operational level.
