Family Development Specialist

This role involves providing casework within the Southern Melbourne Family Services Alliance to offer direct case management to families.
The successful candidate will work closely with the IFS & Early Help Coordinator to deliver high-quality services to vulnerable children, young people, and families.
Key Responsibilities- Provide casework services to families in need of support and guidance.
- Collaborate with the wider Family Services Team in Southern Melbourne to focus on family preservation and reunification efforts.
The Integrated Family Services Practitioner is responsible for assessing risks, needs, and safety for families and developing strategies to address these concerns.
Essential Requirements- Hold a Bachelor's degree in social work, child development, psychology, or a related field.
- Have a deep understanding of contemporary family violence frameworks and interventions for vulnerable children, young people, and parents with complex needs.
- Be knowledgeable about child development and the challenges faced by vulnerable children, young people, and families.
- Possess skills in risk assessment, needs analysis, and safety planning for families.
- Have experience in casework and case management with culturally diverse families.
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Integrated Family Services Practitioner who can work effectively with families from diverse backgrounds.
The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, as well as the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
They will also have a strong commitment to delivering high-quality services that meet the needs of vulnerable children, young people, and families.
