Data Scientist

The Data Scientist will play a pivotal role in crafting and deploying cutting-edge, data-driven marketing strategies that drive impactful business outcomes.
Collaborating closely with stakeholders, this role involves identifying and translating business requirements into actionable data products, such as predictive models, churn analysis, RFM (Recency, Frequency, Monetary) analysis, and propensity modeling.
Your role will be instrumental in empowering the organisation to support its mission of empowering Australians to create meaningful change for the world's most vulnerable children and adults.
Your key responsibilities will include:
- Developing new solutions and continuously monitoring, reviewing, and enhancing existing advanced analytics products to ensure they remain effective and aligned with evolving business needs.
- Designing, operationalising, and optimising advanced analytics models, segmentation strategies, and automated marketing personalisation journeys to enhance the supporter experience and maximise organisational value.
- Engaging with business stakeholders to understand their requirements, objectives, and challenges, and collaborating to define the scope and goals of potential models, ensuring alignment with business needs.
- Analysing large amounts of data to extract meaningful patterns, trends, and insights, and using statistical methods and data mining techniques to uncover hidden relationships within the data.
- Delivering insights that inform strategic business decisions, optimise processes, and identify new opportunities, with clear implications for business strategy.
We're looking for:
A highly skilled and motivated individual with a breadth of capabilities, including enthusiasm, creativity, and outstanding interpersonal skills.
In addition, you will have:
- Strong experience working with Azure ML.
- Previous experience working as a Data Scientist.
- Robust skills in collaborating with and influencing diverse stakeholders by translating complex business challenges into data-driven solutions, leveraging strong analytical skills to interpret results and drive actionable insights.
- Experience with AI tools and techniques would be desirable, however not essential.
- Advanced knowledge of programming languages like Python, R, or SQL for data manipulation, analysis, and implementation of machine learning algorithms.
- Tertiary qualifications in Data Science, Analytics, Mathematics or similar.
