Job Overview

About Our Role

Join a centre of excellence in complex surgery at Prince of Wales Private Hospital, renowned for clinical safety, innovation, and outstanding patient outcomes.

Located within the Randwick Health & Innovation Precinct, we collaborate closely with Sydney Children's Hospital, the Royal Hospital for Women, and Prince of Wales (public) Hospital – offering a dynamic and progressive work environment.

We are leaders in orthopaedics, neurosurgery, gynaecology, and general surgery, as well as one of NSW's premier maternity hospitals, caring for over 1,600 expectant families each year.

Key Responsibilities
  • Assist in daily food preparation and basic meal assembly
  • Deliver, serve, and collect all patient food requirements and meal trays
  • Assist in general cleaning of kitchen equipment and utensils, including dish and pot washing as required
  • Promote a professional and positive team culture
  • Provide high standards of customer service
  • Operate in line with WHS policy & procedures
  • Deliver excellent customer service to staff, clients, and patients
  • Demonstrate ongoing commitment to professional development
  • Hold Authority to Work in Australia
  • Working with Children check (if relevant)
  • Experience in Hospitality (desirable)
  • Food Handler Certificate or Certificate III in Hospitality
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene requirements
  • Commitment to service excellence
  • Strong communication and customer skills
  • Work well independently and within a team
  • Available for on-call shifts, including weekends

Additional Information

Applicants must hold a current Food Handler Certificate or Certificate III in Hospitality, and possess strong communication and customer skills. Experience in hospitality is desirable but not essential. A Working with Children check may be required for some roles.
