Ecological Project Manager for Environmental Consulting

EBR is a specialist environmental consultancy that provides expertise in ecological assessment and management. Our client offers services to a wide range of private and public sector clients, conducting ecological surveys and reporting for Species and Environmental Impact Statements, flora and fauna assessments, development applications, and bushland management plans.
This role will allow you to experience leading ecological field investigations, creating reports, and performing impact assessments. You will supervise others and utilize your established contacts and networks for business development and marketing activities.
To be successful in this position:
- You should have a degree in ecology with more than five years' experience, preferably within a consulting environment.
- Demonstrated botanical identification skills are essential.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills are required.
- You should possess decisive project management skills.
- BioBanking Accreditation is preferred.
This role involves performing work in ecological assessment, natural resource management, environmental impact assessment, permitting, and approval processes. You will provide project ecological management advice and oversight, considering factors such as vegetation, surface water, and groundwater impacts.
Oversight of construction activities, including on-site roles like ecological site inspections, is also part of this position. You will develop and maintain relationships with clients, colleagues, government agencies, and private stakeholders. Delivering projects on schedule, within budget, and to the required quality standards is crucial.
Estimated annual salary: $120,000 - $180,000 depending on experience and qualifications.
