Job Description:

We are seeking a highly motivated Finance Administrator to join our project team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth financial operation of our major infrastructure project.

The ideal candidate will have a bachelor's degree in business or finance, with prior experience in a similar role within a construction or project environment. They will also possess strong organisational skills, with the ability to prioritise and meet deadlines.

The Finance Administrator will be responsible for preparing weekly payment run batches, processing site and delivery dockets, purchase orders, supplier invoices, and assisting with budget allocation and reviewing spend against procurement strategy.

They will also ensure actuals are accurately recorded in the monthly ledgers, prepare and maintain financial reports, and manage office and equipment registers.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Preparing weekly payment run batches
  • Processing site and delivery dockets
  • Purchase orders
  • Supplier invoices
  • Assisting with budget allocation and reviewing spend against procurement strategy
  • Ensuring actuals are accurately recorded in the monthly ledgers
  • Preparing and maintaining financial reports
  • Managing office and equipment registers
Required Skills and Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in business/finance
  • Prior experience in a similar role within a construction or project environment
  • Experience with financial data entry in online systems (JD Edwards highly regarded)
  • Strong organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise and meet deadlines
  • Excellent attention to detail
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (intermediate level)
