Research Fellow Opportunity

This is a stimulating chance to contribute to innovative research in mining equipment development and safety technologies as a Research Fellow. The successful candidate will have the opportunity to work independently or collaboratively with research teams to enhance the quality of research outcomes.

Responsibilities
  • Conduct high-quality research in the field of mining equipment development and safety technologies, producing scholarly output recognized by peers.
  • Undertake specific research projects under the guidance of a research leader and contribute to the development of research activities.
  • Support the dissemination of research outcomes through various channels and outlets.
  • Pursue discipline-appropriate research methods, such as surveys, literature reviews, data collection, and result recording.
  • Participate in conferences and workshops relevant to the project and assist with supervising research students when required.
Requirements
  • A PhD in Mining/Safety/Mechanical Engineering or related fields.
  • Demonstrated expertise in mining equipment/product design, development, and testing, with experience in mechanical systems, industrial product development, or safety-related technologies.
  • A proven track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunities.
  • The ability to work effectively in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build strong relationships.
  • Evidence of highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with diverse stakeholders and students.
