Research Fellow Opportunity

We are seeking a highly motivated Research Fellow to join our team in the field of mining equipment development and safety technologies.

The successful candidate will contribute independently or as a team member in collaborative research, enhancing the quality of research outcomes in the discipline area. They will conduct research, enable research teams to create scholarly output, and undertake specific research projects under the guidance of a research leader.

Key Responsibilities
  • Conduct surveys, literature reviews, data gathering, and recording of results using appropriate research methods.
  • Participate in and/or present at conferences and/or workshops relevant to the project as required.
  • Assist with the supervision of research students in the research area where necessary.
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • A PhD in Mining/Safety/Mechanical Engineering or related areas is essential.
  • Demonstrated capability in mining equipment/product design, development, and testing is crucial.
  • Strong track record of publications and conference presentations relative to opportunity is desired.
  • Ability to work in a team, collaborate across disciplines, and build effective relationships is vital.
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills and ability to communicate with a diverse range of stakeholders and students are required.
