Strategic Merchandise Manager

The Strategic Merchandise Manager will be responsible for overseeing the merchandise planning function of the business, delivering a dynamic strategy to optimise inventory, increase sales and profit as well as grow market share.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Develop and implement seasonal merchandise plans for 100+ stores, across apparel, footwear and accessories
  • Analyse sales trends, historical data and market insights to make informed recommendations to the business
  • Work with cross-functional teams to effectively manage the seasonal promotional calendar
  • Oversee all stock allocations and consolidations
  • Develop and evolve the merchandise planning strategy and management of inventory/stock
  • Monitor and adjust sales forecasts based on market dynamics
  • Partner with the finance team to drive business growth
  • Manage the yearly budgeting process in conjunction with the finance team
  • Drive margin growth through agile and dynamic management of markdowns
