Senior Bookkeeper Position

As a Senior Bookkeeper, you will lead our team in end-to-end bookkeeping, payroll, and day-to-day finance operations for small-to-medium business clients. You will collaborate closely with business owners and our accounting team to provide timely and accurate information.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Manage the entire bookkeeping process using cloud-based tools
  • Process payroll and submit lodgements on time
  • Reconcile bank accounts, credit cards, and clearing accounts
  • Lodge BAS and IAS statements accurately
  • Support clients with accounts payable/receivable setup and reporting
  • Help clients streamline processes and improve efficiency
  • Collaborate with the accounting team to support tax and compliance work
About This Role:
  • We seek a reliable, tech-savvy professional who enjoys building strong client relationships and takes pride in maintaining organized and accurate records.
  • 4+ years of experience in bookkeeping (public practice or bookkeeping firm preferred)
  • Advanced proficiency with Xero and other cloud systems (e.g. Dext, Hubdoc, KeyPay, Xero Payroll)
  • Strong understanding of GST, payroll, and compliance requirements
  • Ability to communicate effectively with business owners
  • Familiarity with identifying inconsistencies and resolving complex file issues
  • Experience overseeing junior/offshore work (desirable)
  • Excellent attention to detail and time management skills
  • A proactive attitude and problem-solving mindset
