Komatsu America Corp. is currently recruiting for a Heavy Equipment Maintenance Professional to support our mining industry clients in Parkhurst, QLD, AU. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for maintaining and repairing heavy equipment, providing expert technical support, and collaborating with stakeholders to optimize equipment performance. This is a full-time permanent position offering an attractive salary package and opportunities for career advancement.
About the Position
This role requires a highly skilled and experienced mechanical fitter with a strong background in mining manufacturing and engineering. You will work closely with our production team to maintain and repair equipment, develop and implement commissioning plans, and facilitate flawless start-up procedures. Your attention to detail, mechanical aptitude, and passion for quality will be essential in meeting our high standards.
Responsibilities
* Maintain and repair heavy equipment to ensure optimal performance and reliability
* Provide expert technical support to customers and internal stakeholders
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimize equipment performance and resolve reliability issues
* Develop and standardize equipment and system commissioning plans
* Facilitate flawless start-up plans in line with global policy
Requirements
* Mechanical trade qualification
* Hydraulic qualifications
* Experience in mining manufacturing and engineering or similar heavy engineering environments with emphasis on field applications
* Exposure to mining systems and applications
* Intimate knowledge of field engineering problem identification and resolution processes within various aspects of the Komatsu business
