Recreation Officer Position

We are seeking a highly motivated and enthusiastic Recreation Officer to join our team at Wintringham. As a Recreation Officer, you will play a vital role in developing and implementing recreation programs that cater to the diverse needs of our clients.
Key Responsibilities
- Assisting the Recreation Coordinator in designing and delivering individualized recreation programs that meet the unique needs and goals of each client.
- Collaborating with Program Managers, Recreation Coordinators, and other stakeholders to identify, plan, and promote recreation and lifestyle programs.
- Developing and maintaining relationships with clients, their support networks, and family members to ensure the effective delivery of recreation programs.
- Reviewing and developing documentation records and processes for funded services programs.
- Maintaining a focus on independence while delivering recreation programs that promote everyday living skills and independence.
Requirements
- Certificate IV in Lifestyle & Leisure or equivalent qualification.
- Understanding of the Housing and Homelessness Service sector, My Aged Care, NDIS, and other relevant service systems.
- Understanding of Recreation Principles and the importance of Leisure and Lifestyle outcomes, Diversional Therapy, or Recreation Therapy.
- Current driver's license and reliable vehicle.
- Well-developed communication skills and ability to engage with people from diverse backgrounds.
- First Aid Certificate II.
