PhD Researcher in Process Metallurgy

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled PhD researcher to join our team at Swinburne University of Technology. As a PhD researcher, you will have the opportunity to work on cutting-edge projects in process metallurgy, focusing on the development of new technologies and processes for the recycling and smelting of metals.
About the ProjectOur research group is focused on the development of new processes and technologies for the recycling and smelting of metals. We are currently working on several projects, including the development of new methods for the recycling of battery materials and the optimization of smelting processes for the production of high-purity metals.
Key Responsibilities- Conduct research in process metallurgy, focusing on the development of new technologies and processes for the recycling and smelting of metals
- Design and conduct experiments to test new processes and technologies
- Analyze data and results from experiments and develop new models and simulations to optimize process performance
- Collaborate with other researchers and industry partners to develop new technologies and processes
- Write papers and reports on research findings and present results at conferences and workshops
- Master's degree in a relevant field (e.g. materials science, chemical engineering, metallurgical engineering)
- Strong background in process metallurgy and materials science
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Proficient in programming languages such as Python and MATLAB
