Cremator Operator

We invite you to join our team as a Cremator Operator, where you will have the opportunity to make a meaningful contribution in a unique and personally rewarding industry.

This role is part of the leading provider of pet cremation services in Australia. You will be responsible for handling pets' final journeys with care and respect, operating specialized equipment, and supporting pet owners with empathy and compassion.

As a Cremator Operator, your duties will include:

  • Supporting delivery operations by assisting drivers with the safe unloading of pets
  • Organising and managing the sorting of delivered pets into designated cool rooms
  • Expertly managing both private and communal cremations
  • Accurately milling and preparing ashes with meticulous attention to detail and care
  • Providing professional and compassionate client greetings at the crematorium for viewings
  • Collecting pets from veterinary clinics and clients' homes, and ensuring timely delivery of ashes to designated locations (as required)

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • The ability to work within a high-temperature environment
  • Technical appreciation of industrial equipment and experience handling power tools
  • Sound technical/computer appreciation skills
  • The ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritise work effectively
  • Exceptional customer service skills, including being an effective and clear communicator
  • The ability to handle deceased pets in a professional and compassionate manner
  • The capacity to lift pets of all sizes using safe lifting procedures, requiring the ability to lift up to 25kg
  • A current driver's license
