About the Role

This is a newly created position within a leading nonprofit organisation, working closely with the Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to provide financial and management accounting support. The successful candidate will be responsible for preparing monthly management reports, analyzing financial variances, and monitoring budgeted versus actual expenditure.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and review monthly management reports and additional reporting packages
  • Assist with the preparation of month-end accounts and review with senior management
  • Analyze and interpret monthly financial variances
  • Monitor and report on budgeted versus actual expenditure
  • Process accounts payable, accounts receivable, and bank reconciliations
  • Prepare and submit Business Activity Statements (BAS)
  • Assist with annual budgeting and forecasting
  • Support the annual audit process and liaise with auditors as required
  • Maintain an accurate fixed asset register and determine monthly depreciation and amortisation

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will have 2-3 years of relevant experience in a similar position, with a strong background in budgeting, forecasting, and analysis. A Certified Practising Accountant (CPA) or Chartered Accountant (CA) qualification is highly desirable.
