This is a 12 month Fixed Term Contract for a Packaging Engineer to join the technical team at our Scoresby site.

You will support strategic projects across Australia which will optimise value creation activities. Your focus will be on product innovation and improvements, working with customers to scope, develop and implement packaging solutions from concept to commercial supply.

Your key focus will be to:

  • Identify opportunities to unlock value and reduce costs through technical innovation
  • Provide technical expertise, support and training to teams across Australia
  • Support the sales team with technical insights during customer tender process
  • Keep up to date with industry trends and opportunities to enhance products, knowledge and industry innovations and developments

To succeed in this role, you should have:

  • A degree in engineering or similar field, or relevant technical expertise in the packaging industry
  • Previous experience within packaging, preferably as a packaging engineer, designer or technician
  • The ability and desire to meet with customers to discuss technical and design solutions
  • Plenty of energy and enthusiasm, curiosity and appetite for learning
