You will be the go-to technical expert for some of Australia's most exciting Battery Energy Storage System (BESS) projects, working directly on major developments and shaping the technical scope. You will also negotiate with Original Equipment Manufacturers (OEMs) to ensure designs are optimised for success.

About the Position

As an Electrical Engineer, you will sit within the Development Team, providing electrical engineering expertise to support BESS projects from concept to delivery. You will manage consultants, coordinate design and grid-related services, and support the preparation of technical requirements for construction and split contracts.

  • Develop technical specifications and scope for BESS projects
  • Manage external consultants and coordinate design deliverables
  • Negotiate with OEMs to optimise project outcomes
  • Provide technical input for development activities, including development approvals and specialist studies
Required Skills and Qualifications
  • Electrical engineering background
  • Experience in renewable power generation projects, ideally BESS or battery/generation assets
  • Strong capability in developing technical specifications for construction/BOP contracts
  • Track record in managing design and grid-related services in a development environment
