Cloud Security Threat Detection and Incident Response Professional

We are seeking a seasoned incident response professional to join our Threat Detection and Incident Response Practice in AWS Global Service Security. As a member of this team, you will have the opportunity to help customers respond to security incidents and pioneer technically superb security solutions to help them operate securely in the cloud.
The ideal candidate will have hands-on technical expertise in building scripts, tools, or methodologies that enhance customers' threat detection and incident response capabilities. They will also have experience in operating security solutions, such as WAF, IPS, Anti-DDoS, or SIEM.
In addition to their technical skills, the successful candidate will be able to communicate complex technical matters clearly and concisely orally and in writing. They will also have experience managing a security event, including managing customer expectations and delivering results.
Key responsibilities include supporting incident response operations, becoming a trusted technical resource for customer stakeholders, contributing to the design, building, and deployment of solutions to automate security operations and incident response on AWS, and mentoring and investing in our team, partners, and customers.
- Mentor and guide junior team members in their career development and growth within the team
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to design, develop, and deploy security solutions
- Become a subject matter expert in AWS security services and stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices
