About this Leadership Role

This role is responsible for overseeing the design, implementation, maintenance and support of our Manufacturing Execution System (MES) across multiple manufacturing sites.

The successful candidate will provide leadership and technical capability to ensure the effective operation of the MES system.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading a team of engineers, analysts and developers in implementing and maintaining the MES system.
  • Collaborating with operations, quality control and IT teams to ensure solutions meet business objectives and adhere to technology standards and governance controls.
  • Managing project timelines, budgets and resources to ensure successful and timely project delivery.
  • Providing regular updates to senior management on project status, risks and opportunities.
  • Contribute to the development of the business's innovation and automation strategy that leverages IoT technologies underpinned by Industry 4.0 architecture.
  • Coordinating 24/7 on-call support roster and contributing as an escalation point.

About Your Experience

To be considered for this role, you should have:

  • Tertiary qualifications in Computer Science, Engineering or a related discipline.
  • 10+ years experience working with Manufacturing Execution Systems and/or related technical disciplines.
  • Experience leading a team of technical specialists with a proven track record of successful technology implementations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills, with the ability to analyse complex manufacturing challenges and develop innovative solutions.
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes, shop floor operations and quality control.
  • Exceptional leadership and communication skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams.
  • Exposure to ERP & Industrial Automation systems in a process industry advantageous.
  • Skills in SQL Database Development (SQL Server & Oracle) would be advantageous.
