Job Description:

The Head of Retail plays a pivotal role in driving the success of Culture Kings retail operations, overseeing multiple store locations across Australia and New Zealand. This high-profile position demands exceptional leadership, strategic thinking, and analytical skills to manage performance, implement sales strategies, and deliver exceptional customer experiences.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Staff Management: Hire, train, and supervise store managers and retail staff, providing coaching and development opportunities to enhance their skills and knowledge. Foster effective communication and teamwork among employees.
  • Performance Management: Monitor and evaluate the performance of each retail store, analysing sales data to identify areas for improvement. Provide guidance and support to store managers to help them meet their targets.
  • Operational Oversight: Ensure all retail locations maintain consistent visual merchandising standards, store layouts, and product presentations.
  • Inventory Management: Monitor inventory levels, supply chain management, and logistics to optimise efficiency and reduce costs.
  • Budgeting and Financial Management: Have an acute awareness of annual budgets for each retail store and monitor financial performance. Analyse sales data, profitability, and expenses to identify areas for cost reduction and revenue enhancement.
  • Customer Service: Ensure all retail locations provide exceptional customer service and maintain high customer satisfaction levels. Address customer complaints and resolve issues in a timely and satisfactory manner.
Requirements:
  • Extensive Retail Experience: Prior experience in various retail roles, such as store management, regional management, or district management, provides a solid foundation for this national retail management position.
  • Leadership and Management Skills: Strong leadership, team management, and decision-making skills are essential to motivate and guide your teams towards achieving sales targets and delivering exceptional customer experiences.
  • Strategic Thinking: Develop business plans, set goals, and execute initiatives that align with the company's overall vision. Identify market opportunities, analyse competition, and adapt to changing consumer preferences.
  • Analytical Abilities: Interpret data, analyse retail metrics, and derive actionable insights to make informed decisions and drive performance improvements across the national retail network.

Estimated Salary: AU$120,000 - AU$180,000 per annum, depending on experience
