Medical Receptionist for Oncology Unit

The Day Infusion Services are seeking an experienced Medical Receptionist to provide front-line support to the Day Oncology Unit and co-located Oncology and Haematology consulting suites.

Job Responsibilities:
  • Manage patient bookings using MOSAIQ, ensuring protocol compliance.
  • Conduct pre-admissions and health fund eligibility checks via IBA.
  • Prepare and distribute pre-admission paperwork and education packs.
  • Liaise with pharmacy for chemotherapy drug verification.
  • Coordinate tests and scans for patients.
  • Process admissions and discharges using IBA.
Key Requirements:
  • Previous experience in medical reception or healthcare administration.
  • Strong interpersonal and customer service skills with a compassionate, patient-focused approach.
  • High attention to detail and ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced clinical setting.
  • Proficiency in MOSAIQ, IBA, and deLacy systems (desirable).
  • Experience in oncology/infusion or specialist rooms (desirable).
  • Commitment to infection control and patient safety protocols.
