Imaging Specialist

The Imaging Specialist is responsible for performing a variety of technical procedures that require independent judgment and skill to apply prescribed ionizing radiation for radiological diagnosis.

Under the direction of the Manager of X-Ray or designate, the Imaging Specialist performs at a technical level not requiring constant supervision. They are responsible for the application of current theory and research in the delivery of care consistent with the vision and values of the hospital and the standards of relevant professional organizations.

  • Perform imaging procedures using ionizing radiation to produce high-quality diagnostic images.
  • Operate CT scanners, X-ray equipment, and other imaging devices to obtain accurate and detailed images of internal body structures.
  • Assist patients during imaging procedures to ensure their comfort and safety.
  • Maintain patient records and communicate effectively with healthcare teams to provide accurate information about imaging results.

This role requires excellent written and oral communication skills, as well as strong interpersonal and organizational skills. The successful candidate will be able to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team and demonstrate a commitment to excellence and accountability.

Requirements:

  • Current certification as an M.R.T.
  • CT experience/training, preferred (willing to train to CT)
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills
  • Able to work effectively as a member of an interdisciplinary healthcare team

Benefits:

  • Signing bonus of $25,000
  • Competitive wage range: $36.93 - $50.38 per hour
