A medical imaging technologist plays a crucial role in providing high-quality patient care by utilizing their technical expertise and excellent communication skills.
Key Responsibilities:- The successful candidate will be responsible for operating various medical imaging modalities to produce high-quality images of patients' internal structures, thereby aiding in accurate diagnoses and treatments.
- In addition, they will learn and apply specialist skills across different modalities under the supervision of an allied health manager – medical imaging and deputies.
- The candidate will also contribute to the ongoing care of paediatric patients, encompassing diagnosis, disease monitoring, and treatment.
- A diploma or degree in applied science/diagnostic radiography is essential, as it qualifies individuals for membership of ASMIRT.
- The ideal candidate should have prior experience within the medical imaging field, demonstrating proficiency in operating imaging equipment and producing high-quality images.
- Current membership of AHPRA is mandatory, ensuring that the candidate remains up-to-date with industry standards and best practices.
- A current Victorian DH radiation license is also required, guaranteeing compliance with regulatory requirements.
The successful candidate will possess excellent communication and interpersonal skills, enabling them to work effectively within a team environment. They must be proactive, flexible, and committed to delivering exceptional patient care.
