About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and energetic Program Coordinator to join our team at PCYC Napranum Youth Club. As a key member of our team, you will be responsible for the effective management of sporting and recreational activities, budgets, programming, and supervision of relevant staff.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement culturally sensitive sport and recreational programs that address the needs of the local community.
  • Work collaboratively with local Aboriginal, Torres Strait Islander, and other interest groups to ensure program alignment with the Community Sport and Recreation Action Plan.
  • Manage budgets, programming, and staff supervision to ensure the successful delivery of programs.
  • Build relationships within indigenous communities and demonstrate a strong understanding of cultural sensitivity.

About You

We are looking for an individual with:

  • Qualifications in a relevant discipline and/or at least 3 years' experience in program development, delivery, and evaluation.
  • Well-developed written and verbal communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Demonstrated experience working with Indigenous Community Councils/groups and capacity to operate programs and services sensitive to culture.
  • Able to demonstrate success in program development, delivery, and evaluation in a not-for-profit organization.
  • Eligibility for a QLD Working with Children Check (Blue Card) and National Police Check.
  • Current First Aid and CPR certificates (or ability to obtain).
