Procurement Director for Corporate Services

Australia Post is transforming and to support our business goals, our Group Procurement team is expanding. We're focused on achieving our Strategic Priorities (Post26 Strategy) through e-commerce and digital experiences, and the Group Procurement team plays a key role in many of these exciting initiatives.
As a key member of the team, you'll support the development and execution of end-to-end procurement strategies, primarily focusing on Corporate Services categories with opportunities to collaborate across the organization.
Key Responsibilities- Partner with Australia Post functions and business units to manage key stakeholders and identify opportunities for cross-functional collaboration
- Work independently to undertake end-to-end procurement engagements, including greenfield strategic sourcing projects, stakeholder engagement, category planning, portfolio management, and contract negotiation to finalisation
- Work closely with stakeholders and support functions to deliver strong value and possess a high level of organisation and planning capability
- Represent the procurement process to maximise value across brand and reputation, customer service, service delivery, quality, innovation, environmental and sustainable outcomes, while generating commercial value, managing potential risk, and maintaining the highest standards of corporate responsibility
- Support the Senior Sourcing Manager/Category Lead in establishing procurement standards for efficient, effective, economical, and ethical supplier management in partnership with relevant business areas
- Minimum 7 years' strategic procurement experience, preferably across Corporate Services categories, such as Marketing, Travel, Consulting, and Legal Panel functions
- An experienced procurement professional with exposure to sourcing practices and processes, sound commercial knowledge, and understanding of national/global providers, contract law, probity practices, and procedures
- Proven experience in supplier relationship management within a large organisation across several categories
- Experience in managing and working with multiple senior stakeholders
- Demonstrated experience building relationships as a trusted advisor and working with multiple senior stakeholders
- Excellent written and verbal skills, including the ability to present to senior stakeholders
- Experience with Ariba Source to Contract is highly desirable
