Job Description:

Mission Aviation Fellowship is a global Christian organization dedicated to delivering aid, hope, and healing through aviation to isolated communities. Our purpose is to make a positive impact on people's lives by facilitating transportation and assistance to remote villages and organizations working towards community transformation.

We are seeking a skilled leader to play a pivotal role in directing our international operations as the Regional Director for the Asia Pacific region. This individual will be responsible for providing strategic direction and leadership to our programs in the region, ensuring we effectively meet the needs of the people we serve.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement long-term strategies and short-term objectives aligned with our overall mission and priorities.
  • Lead and mentor Country Directors to facilitate effective program performance.
  • Oversee staff training and development, ensuring they are cared for personally, spiritually, and corporately.
  • Ensure compliance with internal and external policies, including HR, financial management, risk mitigation, and regulatory policies.
  • Participate in the Operations Leadership Team, addressing operational challenges and contributing to strategic planning across all regions.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree in a relevant field.
  • Aptitude in verbal, numerical, and abstract reasoning.
  • Ability to work within a values-driven framework, particularly when resolving conflicting priorities.
  • Extensive leadership and general management experience at a senior level within a charity or NGO context.
  • Strong strategic planning and organizational skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal, communication, and team-building abilities.
  • Commitment to our evangelical Christian beliefs and values.
  • Familiarity with the Asia Pacific region and its cultural dynamics.
  • Experience working effectively in a cross-cultural and multi-disciplinary environment.
  • Willingness to travel and work flexible hours as required.
